Iishraq Hemp Solid Olive Cushion

Biya’s Linen series “Nayab” presents you with a Olive Cushion made from organic Hemp fabric which is hand-dyed using natural plant-based colours.

Hemp, the cannabis plant is from the Marijuana family, which is a way towards sustainable living. These plants are grown organically for their usage, such as for clothing, nutritious food, paper, building materials and many more. Some of the positive aspects of Hemp are:

-Durability and Ruggedness
-Blends with light materials
-The more you wash it, the softer it gets
-Need less land to be grown with no additional fertilisers or pesticides
-Need mild climate and humid atmosphere with 50% less water per scams than cotton

The colour is derived from Natural heat dyes which are extracted from natural ingredients at a temperature of above 50 degrees Celsius and is totally plant based and chemical free. The colour on the cushion is derived from Flame of the Forest tree and its beautiful solid olive colour cushion. This solid olive cushion is a fruit of hard labour from our artisans who go to all lengths to bring these pieces to life.

These cushions work on both midsized plus large sofas and armchairs while complimenting most decors. Each piece has an identity of its own and is a function of the natural conditions under which they were crafted.
